DTF Dallas expands access to custom T-shirt printing with same day production, 24/7 pickup

What began as a small idea in 2021 has quickly grown into one of the Dallas region’s fastest and most trusted printing hubs.

Located in Richardson, DTF Dallas, founded by local entrepreneur Sam H. Gencer, was created with a simple mission: to build a fast, reliable and accessible apparel printing center for creators, print shops, small businesses, Etsy sellers and apparel brands across Texas.

“When we started DTF Dallas, our goal was to make custom printing something anyone could access,” Gencer said. “You should not need a big order or special equipment to bring an idea to life.”

A shift from older methods to DTF

Before reaching this point, Gencer experimented with several traditional print methods, including Heat Transfer Vinyl, or HTV, sublimation, screen print and direct to garment. Each method had strengths but also limitations, such as slow production times, fabric restrictions or increased cost.

That search eventually led him to direct-to-film transfers, commonly known as DTF printing. With vivid, full-color output, strong wash durability and compatibility across nearly every fabric type, DTF transfers offered the consistency and flexibility customers needed.

“DTF transfers finally allowed us to deliver the quality we wanted, with the turnaround our customers needed,” Gencer said.

From the beginning, he aimed to make this technology available not only to established brands but also to independent creators, boutiques, sports teams and anyone launching an apparel line. The service includes a wide range of DTF supplies, such as DTF ink, DTF powder, DTF film, DTF transfer sheets and DTF gang sheet options for customers who want to produce their own custom T-shirts and apparel.

Same-day production and 24/7 pickup

Speed remains one of the biggest reasons customers choose DTF Dallas.

Orders placed before 2 PM are produced the same day, and customers can pick up their DTF transfers from a 24/7 pickup area that is always accessible.

For local customers, the shop also offers same-day local delivery to keep production schedules running smoothly.

For customers outside the city, orders ship the same day they are printed, with most packages arriving within one to two business days. Orders over $250 qualify for free overnight delivery, and nothing takes more than two days to arrive for customers anywhere in the USA.

Large production capacity and consistent quality

Today, DTF Dallas operates multiple locations with more than 30,000 square feet of production space. The company uses a high-volume system supported by a double quality control process to ensure every transfer is press-ready the moment it reaches the customer.

To maintain accuracy, the entire production area is temperature- and humidity-controlled, keeping colors consistent across all projects.

DTF Dallas also operates the largest DTF heat press in the United States: a 40-inch by 44-inch machine that allows oversized prints, such as a curtain, to be applied in one shot.

“Our return rate stays under 0.5%,” Gencer said. “Quality has to be the same for one print or 1,000.”

In addition to production services, DTF Dallas stocks DTF printers, DTF printer bundles and other DTF printing machine options for customers building their own setups. Many buyers nationwide look to DTF Dallas when searching for the best DTF printer or a DTF printer for shirts.

A one-stop workspace for the community

At the Richardson storefront, customers can complete an entire project from start to finish.

Visitors can:
  • Use four customer computers to prepare artwork
  • Purchase blank apparel, including Bella+Canvas, Gildan, Comfort Colors, Next Level, Shaka Wear and Otto Caps
  • Use the free Heat Press Room, with four commercial machines
  • Finish custom production in the same visit
Beyond apparel printing, DTF Dallas provides UV DTF products for decorating glass, metal, tumblers, plastic items and personalized gifts. These decals have become a popular revenue source for small businesses offering custom drinkware and promotional items.

From vivid DTF heat transfers to finished shirts, hats and UV DTF applications, the shop supports every part of the creative workflow, including small batch production and DTF transfer wholesale for larger clients.

Supporting schools and the Dallas community

DTF Dallas remains deeply connected to its local community. The company donates shirts and printing services to local schools, PTA groups and nonprofit programs, and continues its longtime partnership with The Network, offering assistance to residents in need.

“For us, every print is more than an order,” Gencer said. “It is a piece of someone’s brand. Helping people grow is a big part of what we do.”

A resource built in Dallas, for Dallas

The entrepreneurial spirit of the Dallas area shaped the business from the start.

“We learned here, we grew here and we are proud to help others grow too,” Gencer said.

As custom printing becomes increasingly popular for events, small businesses and online stores, DTF Dallas continues to expand its role as a trusted resource. With same-day production, 24-hour pickup and consistent quality, the shop offers an accessible way for anyone to bring their ideas to life.

Whether someone needs a single custom T-shirt or a full production run for a growing brand, DTF Dallas provides the tools, support and guidance to make it happen.
