Introducing the free service helping future franchise owners choose the right path

Many people begin their franchise search with a clear idea of what they want, but that isn’t always what aligns with their qualities.

At Franchise Sells, founder Dion Garnett and his team match potential franchise owners with the right business, for free.

One example came from a marketing couple who traveled from Illinois, looking for clarity on their next step. After completing a business assessment, which evaluates communication style, leadership preferences, risk tolerance and long-term goals, their results pointed them toward in-home senior care.

It wasn’t the industry they expected, but once they launched their franchise, they quickly realized how meaningful it was.

“[The franchise owners] said, ‘We really care about these people we take care of,’” Garnett said.

Situations like this are common. Another client, a former contractor, arrived convinced he wanted a home-repair franchise. After reviewing his assessment, he discovered he was far better suited for a children’s swim school.

Even franchisees already running a business find direction through the process. One PostalAnnex owner realized her next step was expanding into a completely different industry that matched her assessment results.

Across these stories, the pattern is the same: people gain clarity through Franchise Sells that they might not have found on their own.

What does the process look like?

Franchise Sells starts with a free consultation and a two-part assessment. The first part outlines an individual’s entrepreneurial profile; the second ranks industries by interest.

When the results are compared, Franchise Sells identifies the brands that align with both personal strengths and franchise system requirements. Clients then meet with potential matches, and both parties interview each other.

The goal is to ensure clients choose a franchise that fits both their goals and their day-to-day working style.

After a franchise is purchased, every client is connected to an advisory board with a certified public accountant, an attorney, a financial planner, a banker and Garnett himself, at no cost.

Franchise Sells partners with Comerica Bank to offer clients free shared workspace, podcasting equipment and promotional opportunities at Dallas Cowboys games. These bonuses help new owners promote their business and access professional tools early on.

The bottom line

Franchising can feel overwhelming, especially for first-time entrepreneurs. Franchise Sells simplifies the process by showing clients which brands are the best match and providing free ongoing support long after they choose one.

“My mission is to help the community,” Garnett said. “[Dallas] is growing quickly, so I want to help the community explore, evaluate and invest in different franchise opportunities.”
