From beer to blockbusters: Flix Brewhouse delivers the craft movie experience in Frisco

Sponsored by: Flix Brewhouse

Guests enjoying handcrafted food, craft beer, and blockbuster movies at Flix Brewhouse Frisco, a Texas-born dine-in movie theater and brewery offering a full-service cinematic dining experience with recliner seating, in-theater service, and locally brewed beer.

Imagine this: the lights dim, your recliner eases back and instead of just popcorn, a freshly brewed beer and a handcrafted pizza arrive at your seat.

Welcome to Flix Brewhouse, where cinema meets brewing to create a one-of-a-kind movie experience in Frisco.

A Texas original experience

Flix Brewhouse isn’t your average dine-in theater; it’s a Texas original. The concept was born in Round Rock when founder Allan Regan transformed an empty retail space into something new: America’s only first-run cinema brewery.

The goal was simple but bold: to craft curated experiences where every film, beer and detail is thoughtfully paired to create memorable nights out.

When the Frisco location opened in 2018, it made a splash with the premiere of “Avengers: Infinity War.” Since then, it has grown into a local favorite for date nights, family outings and group events.

Moviegoing made effortless

At Flix, every detail—from the service to the seating—is designed to make moviegoing effortless and enjoyable.

Guests can reserve seats online, order from their phone or an in-theater server, and relax in custom Easy Glider recliners equipped with swiveling tables and call buttons for quick service. Each seat offers plenty of space for entrées, appetizers and drinks, so guests never miss a moment of the movie.

“It’s about more than seeing a film,” said Summer Hasan, Director of Marketing and Brand. “We’ve built every part of the Flix experience to make guests feel cared for. At Flix, craft isn’t just a word—it’s the guiding principle behind everything we do.”

Dinner and a movie, the Flix Way

At Flix Brewhouse, the food and drinks are as much a part of the experience as the film itself.

The Frisco location brews its own beer under the direction of award-winning head brewer Matt Bullen, whose creations have earned national recognition, including medals at both the Best of Craft Beer Awards and the U.S. Open Beer Championship. Guests can also enjoy handcrafted cocktails, a spirit-free menu, and Flix’s own house-made sodas.

The kitchen turns out guest favorites like Hatch Chile Queso, Wisconsin Cheese Curds, fresh burgers, and crisp salads—and every pizza starts with dough made in-house daily. Flix’s menu reflects the communities it serves, blending local inspiration with flavors designed for hungry moviegoers.

Special programming

Flix Brewhouse shows all the latest Hollywood blockbusters and hosts special programming year-round. Fan-favorite events include:
  • FanFest: The ultimate movie party featuring a themed menu, specialty beer, contests and giveaways.
  • BrewFest: An all-inclusive beer dinner where each course is paired with specially crafted Flix brews.
  • SecretFlix: A $5 mystery movie night—guests only know the genre, rating and runtime until the opening credits roll.
  • Flix Junior: All-ages showings with softer sound, dim lighting and a relaxed environment—perfect for young families and guests with sensitivities.
  • FirstFest: An opening night premiere feast that includes a curated three-course dinner, Flix beer and handcrafted cocktails.
“Whether it’s a blockbuster or a one-night-only event, we want every guest to feel immersed in the story,” Hasan said. “It’s about creating a memorable experience long after the credits roll.”

Weekly Flix favorites

In addition to major movie events, Flix Brewhouse offers weekly deals that keep guests coming back for more.
  • Made in State Mondays: Enjoy $2 off any beer brewed in Texas.
  • Kids Eat for $5 Tuesdays: All kids’ meals are just $5 every Tuesday.
  • $5.55 Wednesdays: Catch every 2D movie at a special discounted rate.
  • Friday Fills: Take home your favorite Flix brew—crowlers are just $8 every Friday.
Happy Hour: Monday through Thursday, guests can enjoy food and drink specials that make any movie night even better.

Straight out of Oz

On November 20, Flix Brewhouse Frisco will host its next FirstFest for “Wicked: For Good,” the highly anticipated conclusion to the Emerald City saga of Glinda and Elphaba.

This all-inclusive premiere feast includes admission, popcorn and a three-course dinner paired with themed cocktails and a seasonal Flix brew, each designed to complement the flavors of the evening.

The curated “Wicked: For Good” menu includes:
  • Thank Goodness, It’s Beets: a fresh spring salad with roasted beets, goat cheese, crisp apples, and candied pistachios.
  • Gnocchi Deed Goes Unpunished: grilled chicken and tender gnocchi tossed with pesto alfredo, baby spinach, and blistered cherry tomatoes.
  • Flying Monkey Bread: warm baked cinnamon bread drizzled with salted caramel and dusted with powdered sugar.
