Personalized, persistent support: Inside Jeremy W. McKey’s approach to injury cases

At the Law Offices of Jeremy W. McKey, success starts with trust. That trust is built through long hours, honest communication and a deep commitment to clients—especially when the path to justice isn’t simple.

When Attorney Jeremy W. McKey took on a recent case involving an older man with a history of back issues, he knew it would be an uphill battle. The accident had clearly worsened the man’s condition, but it required time, research and relentless advocacy to prove that in the face of pre-existing medical problems.

“We just kept fighting them,” McKey said. “I believed in my client, and I believed that this accident made his condition worse.”

The team dug through more than a decade of medical history to build the case.

“It was a long process, but we did,” McKey said. “We told the insurance company when we finally got to mediation, ‘Look, we’re ready for trial. We’ve fought to get here...but we’re not going to just settle.’”

How it works

Based in Frisco, the Law Offices of Jeremy W. McKey focuses exclusively on personal injury law, including auto accidents, pedestrian accidents and commercial trucking incidents, as well as slip-and-fall injuries and wrongful death cases.

McKey said each case is approached with the same mindset: no two clients are alike.

“Each person is different, so each injury affects the respective individual in their own unique ways,” he said. “We make sure that we present the client’s personal injury claim in a personal light, and not just a one-size-fits-all approach.”

That personalized care begins at intake, when case managers help coordinate medical treatment with appropriate specialists, such as orthopedists or neurologists.

“The case manager makes sure that folks are getting the appropriate care with the right kind of doctors,” McKey said.

Once treatment is complete or stable, the legal team moves forward with negotiations, or litigation when necessary. Because many clients are unfamiliar with the legal system, the team works hard to make the process manageable.

“I think what’s most important and provides the most relief is having an understanding of what to expect—the various stages, the various projected time frames and timelines,” McKey said.

What to expect

Though not every case involves catastrophic injury, McKey said he and his team try to approach every case with empathy and perspective.

“We try to put ourselves in the client’s shoes,” he said. “Sympathy and empathy go a long way, and not a lot of folks have both. We try to make it more than just a business. We try to make it personal.”

The Law Offices of Jeremy W. McKey are located at 5899 Preston Road, Ste. 203, Frisco. No matter the case size, McKey and his team believe every client deserves respect, care and real results.
