“It’s going to be big. SkinCeuticals is a skin care company nationally,” said Dr. Sean Hill, MD, owner of Lone Star Plastic Surgery. “They’re helping sponsor some of the fun, and so they’re going to be on hand. [This event] is kind of our launch party with them.”
SkinCeuticals is a leading, research-based skin care company founded by scientist and chief medical adviser Dr. Sheldon Pinnell, a recognized industry authority in antioxidants, widely known for his groundbreaking, peer-reviewed research studies and resulting Duke University Antioxidant patent.
Lone Star Plastic Surgery, a leading local provider, is owned and operated by Dr. Hill, an on-site, board-certified plastic surgeon. Through the years, he and his team have gained widespread recognition for their specialized procedures, such as in-office small-volume liposuction, which went viral on social media and now attracts patients from across the country and Canada.
The new partnership highlights the value-driven nature of both companies, including their commitment to quality care and medically sound products and procedures. It also creates a combined value for Dr. Hill’s patients.
“[SkinCeuticals] invested in us to have a proper display area and patient evaluation area. We also get early access to all their latest and greatest creations,” Dr. Hill said.
The event will take place from 4-7 p.m., where guests can enjoy an abundance of libations, snacks and photo opportunities, including photo booths. Attendees will also have an opportunity to mingle with SkinCeuticals representatives, as well as representatives from other partnering vendors, who will be on hand to answer questions about products and provide additional information.
Lone Star Plastic Surgery will be raffling off a number of major prizes at the event, including:
- Free Botox for a year
- A free Halo laser treatment
- A free Morpheus RF microneedling treatment
While the new partnership takes center stage at the event, the celebration also marks a six-year list of achievements for Lone Star Plastic Surgery, which has grown alongside its beloved Frisco community. Dr. Hill attributes the success to its high standards of care and patient safety, made possible by his own status as a board-certified plastic surgeon in an industry he feels is widely undercredentialed.
While Dr. Hill underwent a rigorous certification process—including attending accredited training, passing written board exams and submitting case logs for review—cosmetic surgeons face far less stringent certification requirements.
“[A cosmetic surgeon] could be someone who did a residency in emergency medicine, family medicine—anything that has nothing to do with the anatomy they're working on. They could do a weekend course on breast augmentation and then, lo and behold, they're trying to offer breast augmentations in Frisco. We have them all over,” Dr. Hill said. “And so the community needs to make sure that they do their homework.”
But the Lone Star Plastic Surgery difference goes beyond credentials. Dr. Hill is on-site throughout the week and takes a hands-on approach to running his business. His goal is to create a personalized, family-like environment for patients and staff, emphasizing comfort and personal connections.
He and his team take the time to get to know patients and remember details about their lives, preferences and even their birthdays. The personal touches, including birthday cards and small gifts on special occasions, come naturally to the team and make patients feel valued.
“You come in here, you're talking about things that you don't want to talk about and your insecurities. So we're trying to provide that environment where people feel comfortable discussing these things,” Dr. Hill said. “We want patients to come in here and feel like they’re being treated like a member of our own family.”
More about Dr. Hill
Dr. Hill grew up in a small town, so when he made the decision to set down roots and open his own practice, Frisco, a suburban environment reminiscent of where he grew up, was the clear choice. He opened his practice six years ago to sidestep bureaucratic limitations, eliminate the frustration of corporate red tape and gain the freedom to honor patients’ wishes and provide them with the highest quality of care.
The practice opened with only a handful of employees, but over the years, it’s expanded to include roughly a dozen team members and a med spa, which offers facials, hyperfacials, medical-grade skin care, chemical peels and lasers.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hill is actively involved in the local community alongside his wife and participates in regular community events, including speaking to the Frisco Women’s League every year. The Hills also sponsor charities and work to improve the lives of those throughout their local community.
He’s also excited for a recent hire, Candace, a professional injector who he felt embodied his practices values and had a great personality and love for working with patients.
