For Monica Scott, a branded pen or coffee mug is more than just a souvenir—it’s a connection between people that will be remembered each time that item is used.

This idea inspired her and her sister, Paula Frykholm, to start Logotology in 2006. The business is headquartered in Richardson but has clients across the United States and all over the world.

“Promotional products are the best way to get your word across,” Scott said. “It's the one advertising method that people actually thank you for. When you give them a pen or a bag or a t-shirt, it's just a way to get the word out.”

Logotology offers promotional products for any industry, as well as classrooms through its sister company, Classroom Apparel. Scott and Frykholm also own Golf Tournament.com, which provides golf specific promotional products and consulting.

The business does all of the embroidery in-house, and also offers laser engraving, heat pressing and UV printing on nearly any product a customer can imagine.

Some of the products offered include:
  • Office wear
  • Headwear
  • Plaques
  • Paperweights
  • Backpacks
  • Tote bags
  • Straws
  • Mugs
  • Umbrellas
  • Footballs
  • Cowboy hats
  • Beanies
  • First aid kits
  • Lip balms
  • Binders
  • Note pads
  • Speakers
  • Mousepads
  • Pencils
  • Crayons
If a product isn’t on the website, Logotology is happy to help work with clients and design something new.

“We love doing that,” Scott said. “We have a robust sales team of professionals who have experience working with just about everything. We’ve had a lot of fun creating unique projects. We love for people to come in and stretch our brains to do fun, different things. That's what makes our day.”

Besides being a team of creatives, Logotology also places a strong focus on the core values that the team created. These values create a fun, safe work environment not only for the employees, but also for the clients.

Logotology’s core values are to be:
  • Honest
  • Creative
  • Responsible
  • Collaborative
  • Amazing
  • Generous
These values have led Logotology to give back to the Richardson community. The business works with a variety of nonprofit organizations.

Being able to give back is one of the things Scott finds most rewarding about being a business owner, as well as the people she gets to work with on a daily basis.

“The most rewarding thing for me is just to be able to help the community,” Scott said. “I love that we can bring people together with this. We try to connect folks with each other and folks with things that might help them. There's just not a day that goes by where I don't love coming to work.”
