Cibolo City Council on March 8 approved a contract with Guadalupe County for a special election to be held May 7.

This special election will fill the council member District 2 position held by Steve Quinn.

Quinn decided to step down from council in September due to him moving outside of his district and has since been serving under the hold-over capacity provision until an election could be held to fill his position.

The elected official in the May election will finish Quinn’s term, which is set to end in November.

According to election information, Randy Roberts and Victor M. Osorio II will be the two candidates on the ballot.
