Westbound lanes on US 60 have reopened between Loop 101 and McClintock Drive, according to a news release. The lanes opened on May 22 following concrete paving, lane striping and other contracting work following damage caused by a water main break earlier this month.

The completion of repairs over the weekend signifies the reopening of the freeway in both directions, although there are lane restrictions in place at the McClintock Drive intersection with US 60. Future freeway restrictions will be scheduled as needed, according to the release. This construction project has been in action since the initial water line break, which initially closed the freeway in both directions.

City officials have provided multiple updates on the construction throughout the life of the project, such as their intention to reuse roadway materials from the US 60 project for another major roadway project, the Broadway Curve Project.
