Loop 202 to close in Tempe for pavement maintenance March 25-27

Both east and westbound Loop 202 will face temporary closures between Loop 101 and Priest Drive in Tempe.

The eastbound route will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, according to a news release from the Arizona Department of Transportation. The westbound route will close from 8 p.m. Saturday, March 26, to 10 a.m. Sunday, March 27.


The closure includes ramps as well, according to the release. From March 25-26, Loop 202 on-ramps at Priest Drive, Center Parkway, Sky Harbor Boulevard and Scottsdale Road will be closed during construction hours. The north and southbound Loop 101 ramps to westbound Loop 202 will be closed on March 26-27 during construction hours, including the Loop 202 on-ramps at McClintock Drive and Scottsdale Road.

According to the news release, detour options include using local routes to get onto the freeway past the closure or "[using] eastbound I-10 to eastbound US 60 and northbound Loop 101 to reach eastbound Loop 202."
