The Tempe Chamber of Commerce announced a new president and CEO following the retirement of Anne Gill in 2021. Colin Diaz was announced as her successor March 14, according to a news release from the chamber.

Diaz previously served as the CEO and president of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce and has more than 20 years of management, marketing, sales and community outreach experience, according to the release.


“Our board of directors is truly pleased to introduce an accomplished leader like Mr. Colin Diaz to our community,” said Raveen Arora, board chair of the Tempe Chamber Board of Directors, in the release. “I firmly believe that Colin possesses the ability and expertise to grow the Tempe Chamber into an even more impactful and successful organization in these challenging times.”

Diaz begins his tenure at the Tempe Chamber of Commerce on March 30, according to the release.

"I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead this great organization," Diaz said in a statement. "There are very few opportunities where a strong foundation, potential for growth and an engaged community coexist concurrently. Tempe is experiencing this and more and is poised for greatness."
