The project to widen East Germann Road to six lanes is scheduled to reach its completion in January.
The $27.43 million project also includes Lindsay Road improvements between Loop 202-Santan Freeway and 1/4 mile south of Germann.
Germann traffic in Gilbert shifted in October to the road’s north side onto newly placed and temporary asphalt through the intersection at Lindsay Road and to the west on Germann Road. In addition, Lindsay Road traffic shifted to the outside lanes for crews to work in the middle of Lindsay Road on median pavers.
The project, which started in October 2020, is funded by the town of Gilbert, Maricopa Association of Governments and developer contributions.
