The town of Gilbert is hosting a virtual open house and surveying participants as it prepares to update its transportation master plan.

The open house is up through March 16 at www.gilberttransportationplan.com.

The Gilbert Transportation Master Plan is a 20-year vision for the town’s transportation network, considering the needs of those who drive, bike, walk or use other modes of transportation. It will include a prioritized list of transportation improvements and policies that will drive future funding decisions.

The open house has “stations” that give a plan overview and explore driving and multimodal transportation in Gilbert. In addition to the survey, the site has a map where people can pin comments and concerns about specific areas.

Work on the plan began in June 2020 and is expected to be completed in November.
