Road work switches to daytime near Gilbert and Elliot roads

Construction will move from nighttime to daytime hours starting Feb. 7 and continuing through early April for the ongoing waterline project on Gilbert Road between Elliot and Water Tank roads.

Restrictions will be in place Mon.-Fri. for northbound traffic from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and southbound traffic from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The project, which began in January, is set to replace a nearly 50-year-old water main connecting to a well. It is expected to be completed in late April.

The $2.26 million project is being paid for by town of Gilbert funds.
