Higley, Baseline intersection improvements roll on

The contractor is continuing traffic signal work at Higley and Baseline roads as well as at Baseline and San Benito Drive.

The work is part of Gilbert’s project to remove and reconstruct the Baseline and Higley roads intersection.

The contractor is also working on several driveway reconstructions and drainage basin improvements.

Traffic is reduced from three lanes to two in each direction.

The project will be substantially complete by early November.

The project’s cost is $5.03 million. The town is regional and town funds and developer contributions to pay for it.
