Gilbert Road project work moving north

Construction on the water line on Gilbert Road has just crossed Houston Avenue, and crews are working their way north.

The project is part of the town’s major reconstruction of deteriorated asphalt pavement on Gilbert Road from Baseline Road to north of Guadalupe Road.

The water line is anticipated to be complete by April; once complete, roadway construction will commence from just north of Guadalupe heading northbound.

The $6.15 million project, being funded by the town, started last November and is to run through August.
