Here are five businesses that have recently closed in Gilbert:

  • Dean’s Hermanos Mexican Food Restaurant announced its closure July 29 on its website and social media. The restaurant was at 3373 E. Queen Creek Road. The post indicated COVID-19 was responsible. 480-219-5901. http://www.deanshermanos.com

  • La Calabria Ristorante announced Sept. 1 on social media it had closed. The restaurant at 2540 S. Val Vista Drive, Ste. 107, Gilbert, served Italian cuisine. www.facebook.com/lacalabriarestaurant

  • Local Eats at 6348 S. Higley Road, Ste. 106, Gilbert, closed July 19. It specialized in artisan pizzas, salads, and sandwiches prepared on house-made ciabatta bread. www.facebook.com/localeatspizza

  • Modern Milk closed its location at 3244 E. Guadalupe Road, Ste. 106, Gilbert, in May. The mothers wellness center had a breastfeeding clinic, prenatal/postnatal educational center, fitness facility, and mom and baby boutique.
