The town of Gilbert is collecting ideas from residents for The Paseo, envisioned as a pedestrian and bicycle path through the Heritage District.

The Paseo is part of the Heritage District’s current redevelopment plan, which was adopted in 2018. It would run from Elliot Road to Juniper Avenue and be car-free.

In the redevelopment plan, the town described the vision for The Paseo as “a ‘common thread’ of distinctive landscape, paving, furniture and signing elements [to] create a joyful and memorable setting.” It is meant to link existing Heritage District neighborhoods.

Residents have until July 16 to take the town’s survey, which can be found here.
