The town of Gilbert is seeking a licensed attorney to serve a three-year term on the judicial selection and advisory board.
The board’s volunteers review applications for judges of the municipal court, recommend to Gilbert Town Council the best qualified persons to become full-time town judges, evaluate the performance of incumbent judges and advise council about renewing contracts for judicial services.
Council will appoint the board members. This position will fill a spot reserved for a member of the State Bar of Arizona and is a resident of the town.
The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. Jan. 20. Anyone interested in applying for the board can do so at https://commissions.gilbertaz.gov/apply.
Applications are also available at the Municipal Center, 50 E. Civic Center Drive, first floor, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
