Surprised council members, others react to Jenn Daniels' mayoral resignation

The first reaction town officials expressed about Jenn Daniels’ resignation as mayor Aug. 11 was nearly always surprise.

But once having expressed that, this is what council members and others had to say about Daniels’ decision, coming about five months before her term was set to expire in January 2021.



Process to replace Jenn Daniels as mayor starts Aug. 18

Gilbert Town Council will take up the matter of replacing Jenn Daniels as mayor in an executive session and special meeting Aug. 18.

Gilbert’s digital government team recognized

Gilbert’s Office of Digital Government, the communications and marketing arm of the town, has received the second annual Sharman Stein Award for Storytelling Changemakers.

The award, named after What Works Cities’ founding director of communications, recognizes a city team or official who draws on the power of public communication to cultivate trust and collaboration between local government and residents.
