Texas-based Torchy's Tacos to open Gilbert location
Texas-based Torchy’s Tacos plans to open its first Arizona location in a Santan Village parcel planned north of the northwest corner of Williams Field Road and Santan Village Parkway. It serves Mexican street-food-style tacos in many different varieties. No opening date has been announced.
Chandler's Shimogamo sushi restaurant to open Gilbert location in 2022
Chandler Japanese restaurant Shimogamo will open a Gilbert location at Williams Field Road and Santan Village Parkway next to the SanTan Village shopping center, in spring 2022. The restaurant serves sushi, sashimi, rolls and Japanese Izakaya-style dishes.
212 Ice Cream Studio whips up different ways for customers to have an experience
Visitors to 212 Ice Cream Studio can come with no more than a desire for a cool treat, but it helps if you bring a dash of creativity into the shop.
“We’re not just scooping the ice cream,” said Tina Singh, a co-owner with her husband, Rocky. “We’re creating the experience as well. The way you want, you get it.”
One restaurant now open, one coming in Gilbert
Café Rio Mexican Grill will open a location at 5482 S. Power Road, Gilbert. It serves made-from-scratch Mexican food. The company has not announced an opening date yet.
Stone & Vine fuses family atmosphere with Italian favorites
The original Stone & Vine opened in May 2011 in Scottsdale. The success of that first restaurant led Joseph Popo to open a second location in Chandler in March 2015. Popo said once he saw the location—which used to house a Grimaldi’s—he knew the second location would work.
