Cracker Barrel Old Country Store opened its location at 1799 N. Higley Road, Gilbert, on Feb. 15. Each site of the chain features a gift store and a restaurant with a Southern, country theme.

The Meeple's Cafe selling its games ahead of closing

The Meeple’s Board Game Café will close Feb. 28 at 3821 E. Baseline Road, Ste. J-140, Gilbert. The establishment combined food with board game play. The cafe’s inventory of games is available for purchase through closing.

InterContinental Hotels Group anticipates opening a Holiday Inn Express hotel in the second quarter of 2021 at Power and Galveston roads in Gilbert. The amenities for the hotel, which is to have a little fewer than 100 rooms, include a pool and spa, small conference rooms, small meeting rooms, exercise facilities and guest laundry.

Aldi will open grocery store Feb. 15 in Gilbert

Aldi US, the American branch of the German discount grocer, is opening an Aldi grocery store Feb. 15 at 1801 E. Pecos Road, Gilbert. Aldi specializes in exclusively produced, custom-branded products at low prices offered in small, no-frills stores.
