Cracker Barrel delays opening in Gilbert a week to Feb. 15

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store announced a one-week delay in opening its location at 1799 N. Higley Road, Gilbert. The opening is now scheduled for 7 a.m. Feb. 15.

COVID-19: Number of new cases in Gilbert down to 82 Feb. 2



The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 26,523 COVID-19 cases overall in Gilbert's six ZIP codes Feb. 2. That is an increase of 82 from the previous day.

Chandler USD works to vaccinate employees, offers rapid testing site for community

A Chandler USD spokesperson told Community Impact Newspaper that 2,500 vaccines were provided—largely to CUSD staff—out of CUSD's vaccine distribution over the weekend.

The district also identified at least 1,200 staff who are in a queue for their second Pfizer vaccine dose.

Across Chandler's six ZIP codes, there were 28,267 confirmed total positive cases of COVID-19 as of Feb. 2, according to state data. Chandler's 85225 ZIP code has reported the highest cumulative total of COVID-19 cases since March 2020, with 8,451 as of Feb. 2.

ADHS: More February vaccine appointments available beginning tomorrow


The Arizona Department of Health Services is opening up registration for 21,000 more appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine starting Feb. 3 at 9 a.m., according to a news release from ADHS.

Phoenix Municipal Stadium COVID-19 vaccination site now open

The Arizona Department of Health Services launched a second COVID-19 vaccine site at Arizona State University's Phoenix Municipal Stadium on Feb. 1, building on a state model that has vaccinated more than 100,000 people since Jan. 11, according to a news release from the ADHS.
