Culinary Dropout opens on Gilbert Road

Correction: The land at Culinary Dropout is no longer town owned.

The newest Fox Restaurants Concepts property, Culinary Dropout at the Gilbert Heritage District, opened April 3 with a pretzel dunking and ribbon cutting.

The restaurant, which sits on land the town sold to the developer at 383 N. Gilbert Road, opened for the public at 11 a.m.

The restaurant is donating a portion of the opening day proceeds to Gilbert-based nonprofit Open Arms Care Center.

Culinary Dropout anchors The Yard at Gilbert Heritage District. It also does the same with similar Yard concepts in Phoenix, Tempe and Tucson.

The Yard features an outdoor entertainment venue, a banquet facility called The Coop, outdoor games such as cornhole, and live music. It also will have an outdoor children’s entertainment area.

The restaurant serves classic American fare, craft beers and housemade cocktails.
