More than 1 million Maricopa County residents have been vaccinated as of March 24 with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, according to the county.
The figure represents 30% of all adult Maricopa County residents age 15 and above and 25% of all county residents.
In the past week, Maricopa County residents have received an average of nearly 30,000 doses of vaccine per day, according to the county.
Almost 40% of those vaccine doses completed the vaccine series, meaning they have received both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, according to the county.
Nearly 70% of those vaccinated in Maricopa County are 55 years or older. Among that group, 44% of those ages 55-64 have received at least one dose of vaccine. That represents nearly 10% more than last week, according to the county.
