HD South, Gilbert’s arts, culture and history museum, will reopen June 2 with new restrictions in place.

“We are so excited to be able to open HD South once again to share the annual quilt show and a new photographic penguin exhibit during the month of June,” HD South President and CEO Kayla Kolar said. “We have taken so many precautions so our visitors feel safe and comfortable.”

The museum will run on restricted hours from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Visitors, volunteers and staff must use hand sanitizer when they enter the building and wear facemasks inside. Frequent use of hand sanitizer will be encouraged.

The museum, including interactive exhibits, will be “no touch” until further notice. Everyone inside will be expected to maintain physical distancing guidelines.

Drinking fountains will be out of service, and cleaning procedures have been put place, including regular disinfecting of high-touch areas.
