Each month Community Impact Newspaper runs brief announcements on business happenings—now opens, coming soons, anniversaries, closings and more—that we call "Impacts." Here are the 12 that sat in our "Featured Impact" in this year's editions.

Imagine 3D Mini Golf opened Jan. 5. It features 3D hand-painted art bathed in black light with players wearing 3D glasses as they putt. The site at 785 W. Warner Road, Ste. A107, Gilbert, also hosts parties. 480-361-8005. https://imagine3dminigolf.com

Crumbl Cookies opened its first Arizona location Jan. 30 at 2743 S. Market St. in Gilbert. The Logan, Utah-based company has 20 locations, with the others in Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Colorado. The Sandbar opened March 7 in the SanTan Pavilions at 1975 E. Williams Field Road, Gilbert. The sports bar serves Southwestern-style Mexican food. It has a dog-friendly patio and an area with yard games. 623-999-1399. https://sandbaraz.com/gilbert.html

Trader Joe’s opened its neighborhood grocery store March 29 at the SanTan Pavilions at 1779 East Williams Field Road, Gilbert. Trader Joe’s carries a selection of gourmet, organic and imported foods, with many under its own brand. 480-632-0951. www.traderjoes.com


Asian City opened April 1 at 8490 S. Power Road, Ste. 105, Gilbert. The small Chinese restaurant in an Albertston’s plaza also serves Japanese and Thai food. 480-638-9828. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Asian-City/328045318145815

Honeymee opened May 8 in the SanTan Village mall at 2196 E. Williams Field Road, Ste. 101, Gilbert. The store serves true-milk ice cream drizzled with honey and hon-eycombs. The milk and honey come from family-owned farms in California that are kosher-certified. The California-based company has 19 locations. www.honeymee.com

AR Workshop Gilbert opened June 28 at 147 S. Higley Road, Ste. 103, Gilbert. AR Workshop Gilbert is a boutique, do-it-yourself studio and retailer that offers hands-on workshops for creating custom home decor from raw materials in a lounge-style atmosphere. The Strand @ Gilbert released a rendering July 11 of what the water park will look like when it opens in summer 2021 at Gilbert Regional Park at Queen Creek and Higley roads. 480-531-9500. www.strandresorts.com

Wrapped with Ribbon opened a brick-and-mortar store Sept. 14 at 4844 S. Val Vista Drive, Ste. A111, in Gilbert. The boutique offers a variety of gifts for everyone from infants to grandparents. 480-440-7447. https://wrappedwithribbon.net

Owner Cassie Uhl has moved Zenned Out Jewelry from its previous location in Tempe to 610 N. Gilbert Road, Ste. 312, Gilbert. The store, which opened in Gilbert on Oct. 16, has an emphasis on spirituality and locally produced items in its offerings. 480-755-2151. https://zennedout.com
