Roadwork to cause closures on loops 101 and 202 in Chandler from Feb. 21-24

The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled two freeway closures in the Chandler area for the weekend of Feb. 21-24, according to ADOT. Crews will be working on improvement projects on Loops 101 and 202.

Northbound Loop 101 will be closed between Loop 202 and Ray Road from 10 p.m. Feb. 21 to 5 a.m. Feb. 24 for ADOT's ongoing project to add a travel lane in each direction on a stretch of Loop 101.


All Loop 202 and Price Road ramps to northbound Loop 101 will be closed, according to ADOT. Alternate routes include northbound Dobson Road to westbound Ray Road to reach northbound Loop 101.

Chandler Boulevard will also be closed in both directions at Loop 101 from 10 p.m. Feb. 21 to 5 a.m. Feb. 24. Traffic on Chandler Boulevard will detour around the closure at Loop 101 by using Price frontage roads, according to ADOT.

In addition, eastbound Loop 202 will be closed between the I-10 interchange and Loop 101 from 8 p.m. Feb. 21 to 5 a.m. Feb. 24 for a pavement improvement project, according to ADOT. All I-10 ramps to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed.
