Draft of Chandler transportation master plan, Valley Metro Arizona Avenue study to be presented Oct. 24

Drafts of two transportation studies, the Chandler transportation master plan and the Arizona Avenue Alternatives Analysis study, will be presented to the public during a meeting Oct. 24.

The meeting will be hosted by the Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority and the city of Chandler, and both entities hope to solicit public feedback on the two studies, which could impact transportation policies, operations, future development and infrastructure in the city.

A draft of the city's transportation master plan will be presented to the Chandler Transportation Commission on Nov. 6. A final version will be submitted to City Council for approval in early 2020. The transportation master plan was last updated in 2010.

The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chandler Community Center located at 125 E. Commonwealth Ave., Chandler.
