Roadwork to continue on Loop 101 in Chandler this weekend through Monday

Construction is ongoing as the Arizona Department of Transportation works to expand Loop 101 through Chandler.

Construction is ongoing as the Arizona Department of Transportation works to expand Loop 101 through Chandler.

Arizona Department of Transportation crews will be working on Loop 101 between Baseline and Loop 202 this weekend as part of the ongoing project to widen Loop 101 by one travel lane in each direction.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use caution around construction personnel.

The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Chandler Boulevard will be closed at the following times, according to ADOT:

  • 9 p.m. Sept. 27 to 9 a.m. Sept. 28

  • 10 p.m. Sept. 28 to 5 a.m. Sept. 29

  • 10 p.m. Sept. 29 to 5 a.m. Sept. 30


In addition, southbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard from 9 p.m. Sept. 27 to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 29. The southbound on-ramp at Elliot Road and off-ramp at Warner Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29.

The northbound on-ramp at Elliot Road and off-ramp at Guadalupe Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Sept. 27 to 5 a.m. Sept. 30. The right lane of the Loop will also be closed near the restricted ramps.

The east- and westbound Chandler Boulevard left turn bays to south- and northbound Loop 101 will be closed from 10 p.m. Sept. 27 to 8 a.m. Sept. 28 and from 9 p.m. Sept. 30 to 5 a.m. Oct. 1.
