Prepare for Loop 101 closures this weekend in Chandler

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced Friday parts of Loop 101 through Chandler will be closed through Sept. 24.

The southbound off-ramp at Chandler Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. Sept. 20 to 5 a.m. Sept. 21; and from 10 p.m. Sept. 21 to 5 a.m. Sept. 22. The right lane of northbound Loop 101 from Elliot Road to Guadalupe Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Sept. 20 to 5 a.m. Sept. 23.

The eastbound and westbound Chandler Boulevard left-turn bays to south- and northbound Loop 101 will be closed from 10 p.m. Sept. 20 to 5 a.m. Sept. 21; and from 9 p.m. Sept. 23 to 5 a.m. Sept. 24.

The southbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard from 9 p.m. Sept. 23 to 5 a.m. Sept. 24.

The road work is part of ADOT's $76 million expansion project to add one lane in each direction along Loop 101 between Baseline Road and Loop 202.
