The public housing wait list will open for one week in the city of Chandler beginning Thursday, Oct. 7, according to a news release from the city. It has been three years since the wait list was last open, according to the city.

The wait list is being opened to ensure an adequate pool of applicants when public housing units become available.

The city encourages all interested applicants to apply, and pre-applications will be accepted beginning at noon Thursday, Oct. 7, through noon Thursday, Oct. 14.

Verification of household information will only be required during the eligibility process. In addition, interested applicants' household income must not exceed $44,250 for one person, $50,600 for two people, $56,900 for three people, $63,200 for four people, $68,300 for five people, $73,350 for six people, $78,400 for seven people, $83,450 for eight people, $88,500 for nine people, or $93,550 for 10 people, according to the city.

Two thousand pre-applications placed on the public housing wait list from the applicant pool will be placed on the wait list by random selection. Pre-applicants not selected will have to reapply for assistance when applications are open again.
