The city of Chandler is encouraging local veterans to share their stories to be featured in the second annual Chandler Path of Honor—a path along the lake at Veterans Oasis Park that pays tribute to the city's veterans.

The local veterans that will be featured along the Path of Honor will be selected from Chandler’s veterans database and the Chandler Museum’s existing collection, according to a news release from the city. Visit www.chandleraz.gov/VeteransDatabase and complete the online form as a veteran or as a family member of a veteran. To be considered for this year’s Path of Honor, submissions must be completed by Thursday, Sept. 30.

The Chandler Museum also welcomes donations of photographs and objects to help tell stories, according to the release. Digital photographs of the veteran during his or her service can be submitted using the form at www.chandleraz.gov/VeteransDatabase. To donate original photographs, scrapbooks, uniforms or other items that help document a veteran’s story, please contact Chandler Museum Collections Coordinator, Nate Meyers, at 480-782-2877.
