Here's how you can recycle your Christmas tree in Chandler

The city of Chandler is offering collection and recycling of Christmas trees beginning the day after Christmas. According to the city website, all trees collected by the city will be chipped and reused in park landscaping projects.

For safety, the city asks that all tree stands, nails, ornaments, light and garland be removed and that trees not be placed in bags.


Here's how you can dispose of Christmas trees this year in Chandler:

  • Curbside Christmas tree collection: Collection will take place Dec. 26, 2020 - Jan. 15, 2021 and is available to Chandler residents paying for city-provided solid waste services. For curbside collection, please place the tree at the edge of the driveway—not in the street—before 6 a.m. on your scheduled recycling collection day. A separate collection truck will collect trees.

  • Donating live potted trees: Live potted Christmas trees can be donated for replanting at city parks by dropping them off at the city's Community Center or scheduling for pickup by calling 480-782-2745.

  • Neighborhood Christmas tree drop-off is available Dec. 26, 2020 - Jan. 15, 2021 at the following locations:
