Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey issues statewide declaration of emergency curfew

Gov. Doug Ducey announced via social media May 31 that he was issuing a statewide emergency declaration in Arizona with a curfew in place beginning at 8 p.m. May 31 and effective for one week following several nights of protests over the death of George Floyd.

Chandler reduces fees, delays due date for city's liquor licenses

Chandler City Council has ratified an emergency declaration to reduce liquor license renewal fees and to push back their due date by three months due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the burden it has placed on restaurants and bars.



Local church seeking Chandler families in need to receive free food boxes

Chandler-based Compass Christian Church is a recipient of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farmers to Families Food Box Program, which distributes surplus food to local communities in need, according to a news release from the city of Chandler.

As a recipient of the funding, Compass Christian Church will distribute 1,000 free boxes containing fresh produce and dairy every Friday through June 26.
