Six candidates vying for three seats on Chandler City Council

Six candidates will be on the ballot for three spots on Chandler City Council in an Aug. 4 election.

Council Members Jeremy McClymonds and Mark Stewart are running for re-election, according to official candidate listings from the city of Chandler. McClymonds was appointed to council in June 2018 when then-Vice Mayor Nora Ellen vacated her seat to run for the Arizona Legislature. Stewart was elected to council by Chandler voters in November 2016.


Rick Heumann, who was first elected to council in 2009 and later served as vice mayor, is also running for a seat.

Christine Ellis, O.D. Harris and Beth Brizel have qualified to be on the August ballot.
