Chandler city officials are seeking volunteers to assist in the city's annual point-in-time homeless count Jan. 28.
The point-in-time homeless count is an annual street and shelter count to determine the number of people experiencing homeless in Maricopa County during a given point in time, according city officials. The effort includes a brief survey, according to the city, to identify the needs of those experiencing homelessness in Chandler.
The count will take place between 6-9 a.m. Volunteers who sign up must attend a training from 10:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 23 at Chandler City Hall, located at 175 S. Arizona Ave., Chandler.
