The Chandler USD governing board will discuss the district's potential COVID-19 mitigation plan for the 2021-22 school year during a meeting Wednesday, May 12, according to the board agenda.

The administration will present the plan to the governing board during a study session beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The governing board voted April 21 to continue the use of face coverings for students and staff through the end of this school year and stipulated that if the district infection rate remained low, effective May 31, masks would be optional moving forward. The move came after Gov. Doug Ducey announced April 19 that he was rescinding the statewide mask mandate in K-12 schools.
