Chandler USD governing board OKs agreement for school resource officers

The Chandler USD governing board approved an agreement with the city of Chandler during a meeting April 14 to split the costs associated with four school resource officers at schools across the district.

The four school resource officers are assigned to Basha High School, Chandler High School, Andersen Jr. High School and Santan Jr. High School for a total of $502,013. The city of Chandler and Chandler USD will split the costs associated with the four officers. Chandler USD will pay $251,006.


The four school resource officers are in addition to three other officers within the district that are funded by grants provided by the Arizona Department of Education's School Safety Program Grant. Those three officers cover Hamilton High School, Bogle Jr. High School and Willis Jr. High School.
