The Chandler City Council tentatively approved June 24 an ordinance granting the green light to a 71-acre business park development at the northwest corner of McQueen and Queen Creek roads.

The project, called Schrader Farms Business Park, will be used for light industrial and business park land uses, according to Chandler City Council agenda documents.

According to the plan submitted to the city, the development will consists of six single-story buildings that will be constructed in two phases. Phase one will consist of three eastern business park buildings, street improvements along the perimeter of the entire site and street frontage landscaping along the perimeter of the phase one buildings and commercial lot.

The commercial development on the corner has not yet had a specific building design or site layout, according to the city records. That corner commercial parcel of land will be developed separately from the business park, according to city documents.

Core5 is the developer for the business park, according to city documents. According to the developer's proposal, the proposed architectural design will lean toward contemporary southwest architecture, "reflecting a timeless design that is respectful of the central Arizona desert climate."
