The 7.7-acre site will be located at 100 W. Queen Creek Road in Chandler. The land was purchased by Cadence Living and Global Senior Housing, a company that specializes in the development of new senior communities, according to a news release.
Cadence at Ocotillo will include 191 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments for seniors, according to the news release, and apartments will include a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a walk-in shower.
The community will feature upscale amenities such as restaurant-style dining, raised garden beds, a theater, an art studio, a swimming pool and a fitness center.
“At Cadence, we saw a unique opportunity to fill a gap in the market by offering seniors a lifestyle-focused community that delivers the kind of highly-desirable living options being sought by individuals and couples today,” said Eric Gruber, principal at Cadence Living, in a news release.
The project is headed by Cadence Living, a company that manages three other communities in Glendale, Mesa and Scottsdale.
“2019 has been an exciting year for us and for Arizona’s senior community,” said Rob Leinbach, principal at Cadence Living, in a news release.
Construction at Cadence at Ocotillo is expected to be complete in spring 2021.
