COVID-19: Gilbert cases have increased more than 8% in seven days as of Nov. 9

Across Gilbert's six ZIP codes, there were 6,880 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on Nov. 9, according to data from the state. That's an increase of 195 cases from over the weekend. That represents an increase of 8.12% across the town in the past seven days.

State reports no new COVID-19 deaths, Chandler sees increase of 164 cases from over the weekend

Across Chandler's six ZIP codes, there were 8,647 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on Nov. 9, according to data from the state—an increase of 164 reported cases from over the weekend. That overall number of cases represents an increase of 5.27% across the city in the past seven days.

Chandler USD Superintendent Camille Casteel pleaded with families in an email Nov. 6 in an effort to avoid school closure due to rising numbers of COVID-19 across the city and the state.
