Maricopa County releases data dashboard for reopening schools

Maricopa County Department of Public Health released a data dashboard Aug. 14 designed to help school officials to determine if their communities are meeting reopening metrics set by the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Arizona Department of Education.

COVID-19: Chandler sees fewer new COVID-19 cases across its ZIP codes, Maricopa County sees increase of 181 cases and one fewer death Aug. 17

Across Chandler's six ZIP codes, there were 6,511 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on Aug. 17, according to data from the state—a decrease from the number of cases reported Friday. That overall number of cases represents an increase of 1.35% across the city in the past seven days.

COVID-19: Gilbert sees 40 new cases; county has increase of 181 cases and one fewer death Aug. 17

Across Gilbert's six ZIP codes, there were 4,612 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on Aug. 17, according to data from the state. That's an increase of 40 cases from over the weekend. That represents an increase of 2.72% across the town in the past seven days.

COVID-19: Number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations declining across Arizona

The Arizona Department of Health Services has tracked COVID-19 hospitalization data since early April, and in recent days and weeks the number of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients admitted to a hospital has climbed. Of the 1,096,897 COVID-19 tests in Arizona, 13.5% have yielded positive results as of Aug. 17.
