As the 2020-21 school year approaches, there are still uncertainties for parents, students and teachers in the Chandler area—and across the Valley.

Across Gilbert's six ZIP codes, there were 2,920 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on July 13, according to data from the state. That's an increase of 158 cases from over the weekend. That represents an increase of 28.3% across the town in the past seven days.

Across Chandler's six ZIP codes, there were 4,120 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on July 13, according to data from the state—227 newly reported cases from over the weekend. That overall number of cases represents an increase of 24.17% across the city in the past seven days.
