'Libraries matter today more than ever' new Chandler Public Library manager says

Rachelle Kuzyk began her job as the city of Chandler's new library manager on May 20. Kuzyk will oversee the operations of the Chandler Public Library system.

Gilbert has suffered through epidemics before

The Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 had no effect on the town of Gilbert.



But that is because there was no Gilbert yet. The town incorporated two years later.

But that is not to say the region was not hit by that event or that the coronavirus is the first epidemic since incorporation.

City announces online registration process for public swim over the next two weekends

The city of Chandler Aquatics Division announced May 21 that two facilities will open for limited public swim hours—with preregistration required—for the Memorial Day holiday weekend and the first weekend in June.
