April 8 marks the first day of the virtual concert series, and it will feature Arizona-based singer-songwriter Tessa Karrys.
The concerts will be featured on the artists’ social media platforms and can be enjoyed from a desktop, tablet or phone. The performers usually performed at the downtown Chandler stage but will now be conducting the performances from their homes due to the coronavirus outbreak. The free downtown Chandler concert series started in late January and featured a variety of local performers. The series was set to conclude on April 1—right before the Chandler Jazz Festival. City staff decided to bring back the free shows for the public to enjoy if they are on a lunch break or working from home during this public health emergency, according to a city news release.
