SanTan Brewing Co. to recycle beer, create medical-grade hand sanitizer
SanTan Brewing Co. has announced a partnership with Crescent Crown Distributing to recycle more than 16,000 gallons of draft beer that will not be delivered to Arizona bars and restaurants. Instead, that beer will be distilled to produce 400 gallons of medical-grade hand sanitizer, according to the brewery.

O.H.S.O. Brewery & Distillery has turned much of its distilling efforts toward a new product: hand sanitizer.
The local chain, with four Valley locations including one in Gilbert, has agreed to deliver to Banner Health 400 gallons of the supply that is vitally needed during the coronavirus outbreak.
Chandler woman starts statewide Facebook group to make masks for Arizona health care workers
Chandler resident Shannon Brannan did not know that when she began a Facebook group for mask makers, she was igniting a statewide movement.
Brannan said she got the idea from an Atlanta-based group. She knew Arizona could benefit from such a group, so she went on the Facebook Marketplace and started searching for groups in Chandler. Then, she started what is now Mask Making for Arizona Healthcare Workers.
Helluva Brewing Co. works to help community during coronavirus outbreak
"It was the ugliest, chunkiest, grossest beer we’ve ever brewed by far," owner Shawn Shepard said. "But it looks like we were able to create 60 or 70 gallons of hand sanitizer for first responders. We are dedicating our time and money. We aren't selling it at all. We are going to donate all of it."
