The comprehensive plan, coined Round Rock 2030, helps establish a framework to guide development and land use between 2020 and 2030. The city develops a comprehensive plan every 10 years.
The public meetings include a presentation and opportunities for members of the public to provide feedback and input on the plan. The remaining meetings will take place at the Allen R. Baca Center dining room, located at 301 W. Bagdad Ave., Round Rock.
Although each meeting is focused on a particular quadrant of Round Rock, citizens are invited to attend any or all of the meetings. The remaining meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Southwest quadrant: Feb. 12, 6-8 p.m.
- Northeast quadrant: Feb. 26, 6-8 p.m.
- Northwest quadrant: March 5, 6-8 p.m.
“We were so excited to see the level of turnout we had at our first meeting,” said Brad Wiseman, planning and development director for the city, in a press release. “It’s clear that our residents understand that, by participating in this planning process, their voices will be heard and help shape Round Rock for future generations.”
