1. FM 1774 widening
The Texas Department of Transportation’s project widens FM 1774 from two to four lanes between West Lost Creek Boulevard and FM 149 in Pinehurst. The project was 81 percent complete as of mid-January and is under construction by James Construction Group.

2. FM 1774 overpass
James Construction Group is working to build a railroad overpass in the city of Magnolia, which will provide drivers a direct route along FM 1774 over the Union Pacific Corp. tracks. The TxDOT project runs from FM 1486 to north of FM 1488 and was 88 percent complete as of mid-January.

3. Holderrieth Road extension
The first phase of Harris County Precinct 4’s project by Unitas Construction extends Holderrieth Road in Tomball from Hwy. 249 west to Calvert Road as a four-lane concrete pavement section. Other phases of this project will widen the existing road between Hwy. 249 and Hufsmith-Kohrville Road and add an extension from Hufsmith-Kohrville Road east to the Grand Parkway at Champion Forest Drive.

4. Hufsmith-Kohrville Segment 6 widening
This Harris County Precinct 4 project widens Hufsmith-Kohrville Road between Mahaffey Road and FM 2920 in Tomball from two lanes to four lanes. A traffic signal will also be added at Mahaffey Road. The project is under construction by Allgood Construction.

5. Telge Road widening
Construction on the Harris County Precinct 4 project to widen Telge Road from Spring Cypress Road to Louetta Road near the Tomball-Cypress border began in October. The project widens the road from two asphalt lanes to a four-lane concrete boulevard with appropriate drainage and will wrap up in the fourth quarter of 2019.

6. FM 2978 widening
The two-segment project by TxDOT widens FM 2978 from two lanes to four lanes between FM 1488 and Hufsmith-Conroe Road in the Magnolia area. The first segment, which began construction in January 2018, extends from Hufsmith-Conroe Road to south of Dry Creek and is 37 percent complete. The project’s second segment, which began construction in September, spans from FM 1488 to south of Dry Creek and is 14 percent complete as of mid-January.
