Work finished early on Harris County Precinct 4’s portion of a joint project to widen Grant Road from Lakewood Forest Drive to Spring Cypress Road in Cypress to a four-lane concrete boulevard. The project was originally set to be completed in mid-January, but Precinct 4 officials said they finished work on their portion between—Spring Cypress and Old Kluge roads—in November. Officials with Precinct 3—who are working from Old Kluge Road to Lakewood Forest Drive—said the project was substantially completed by the end of the year with punch list items left to be taken care of in January.

Meanwhile, two additional Harris County Precinct 4 projects to widen Grant Road from Spring Cypress to Telge roads is working its way through the study phase. Officials hope to complete the study phase and submit a report to Harris County Commissioners Court some time in 2019.
