4. Fur Ball raises money for county animals
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will host its largest fundraising event of the year Saturday. Proceeds help WCRAS provide care and find homes for all of the lost and abandoned animals in the county. 5. Celebrate the time change with lantern walk
Tinkergarten Georgetown will be celebrating the time change with a lantern walk around Berry Spring Park. The community is invited to sing songs and take a short walk around the park with homemade lanterns. Bring a glass-free lantern, and the LED lights will be provided. The Texas Monthly BBQ Festival kicks off Saturday with "Cue Course," a BBQ education course at Stiles Switch hosted by Texas Monthly BBQ editor Daniel Vaughn—and the first ever "Franklin & Friends" event hosted by Aaron Franklin himself.
